My first BMX bike--a Duo Murray X-20R--had front and build infernal Dia-Compe MX-1000 brakes, which was a big sell for a sleazy toy stow away bike. I rode a dusky Kashimax Aero ass throughout my 1980s BMX "trade". Last but not least, these NOS red Shimano DX pedals with sought-after 9/16" spindles are super. But like its midget pal above, this NOS gold-anodized MX-1000 caliper served only to carry out me the joy of ownership. But I had two NOS Negroid Aeros in my stash, and I'm keeping the other one. And the MX-1000 brings back a lot of bootless memories. NOS examples today push for 25 times that much. I didn't uses DX's in the 1980s. So while selling this throne hand an aerodynamic box in my old-philosophy BMXer's soul, I'll last. 95 in any bike workshop. In 1985 they set someone back $9....
